Kashmiri Shawl Categories for B2B Wholesale

Savita Shawls supplies nine categories of Kashmiri shawls for wholesale buyers worldwide. Each category carries the hallmarks of genuine Kashmiri craftsmanship, whether that is a hand-woven Kani pattern, sozni needle embroidery, or the ultra-fine softness of pure pashmina. Our catalog spans accessible wool-blend to months-in-the-making heritage pieces.

Pure Pashmina Kashmiri Shawls
100% Changthangi fiber, 12 to 16 micron, hand-spun and handwoven in Kashmir. The finest luxury grade of Kashmiri shawls for high-end boutiques and collector-level retail. Available plain, fringed, or with sozni embroidery borders.
Kani Kashmiri Shawls
Traditional tapestry weaving using hundreds of small wooden bobbins. Each Kani Kashmiri shawl takes 3 to 18 months to complete. Sourced directly from master weavers in Kanihama, Kashmir. The most prestigious style in the entire Kashmiri shawls category.
Sozni Embroidered Shawls
Authentic sozni needle embroidery on pure pashmina. Sozni is worked from the reverse side of the fabric, producing extraordinarily fine patterns. These Kashmiri shawls are made for the top tier of luxury retail and bridal collections.
Aari Embroidered Kashmiri Shawls
Dense, richly detailed aari hook embroidery on pashmina and wool-blend bases. Bolder in visual weight than sozni. A strong seller for boutiques that want dramatic statement pieces in their Kashmiri shawls offering.
Jamawar Kashmiri Shawls
Richly patterned loom-woven Kashmiri shawls with intricate multi-color motifs. High visual impact for premium retail displays, bridal collections, and seasonal fashion lines where a distinctive product is needed.
Wool-Blend Kashmiri Shawls
70/30 pashmina-wool blend. Exceptional warmth at accessible wholesale prices. The most practical category for mid-market retail, department stores, and high-volume importers building a broad Kashmiri shawls range.
Pashmina-Silk Kashmiri Shawls
70/30 pashmina-silk blend. Lightweight, lustrous drape. Ideal for bridal retail, premium gifting programs, and fashion-forward seasonal collections looking for a lighter weight Kashmiri shawl option.
Printed Kashmiri Shawls
High-resolution digital and block-printed designs on wool-blend and pashmina fabric. Strong for seasonal fashion, promotional gifting, and private label programs where a printed look is part of the brand identity.
Custom OEM Kashmiri Shawls
Your design, your fiber specification, your brand label. Full OEM manufacturing of Kashmiri shawls from design development through production, quality inspection, and delivery ready for your retail or wholesale channel.
Why Partner With Us

Why B2B Buyers Choose Our Kashmiri Shawls

Wholesale buyers come back to Savita Shawls season after season for three reasons: pricing that protects their margins, quality that earns repeat customer purchases, and a manufacturing team that solves problems before they become shipment delays.

01
Factory-Direct Wholesale Pricing
There are no agents, no trading companies, no intermediaries adding margin between our Kashmiri shawls factory and your invoice. Factory-direct pricing means a materially lower cost per piece than buying through the usual wholesale channels. Transparent FOB and CIF quotations on every order with no hidden charges at the end.
02
Authentic Kashmiri Craftsmanship
Our Kashmiri shawls are made using genuine Kashmiri artisan techniques: Kani weaving sourced from Kanihama weavers, sozni and aari embroidery from verified Kashmiri artisan networks, and pure pashmina fiber that passes micron testing. This is not mass-produced imitation. It is the real thing, which is exactly what your customers are paying for.
03
Complete OEM and Private Label
Send your designs, color palettes, and branding requirements. We manufacture Kashmiri shawls bearing your label with woven inner labels, hang tags, care labels in your destination language, and finished packaging. Your brand, your identity, built in our factory. No reference to Savita Shawls on any piece unless you request it.
04
Every Price Point in One Catalog
Wool-blend Kashmiri shawls for accessible high-street retail. Pure pashmina for luxury boutiques. Kani tapestry for heritage collectors. You can mix styles, compositions, and price tiers in one order, which is genuinely useful when you are building a range rather than just repeating a single bestseller.
05
Scale From Boutique to Container
With 25 power looms, 30 Sulzer looms, a dedicated embroidery unit, and an in-house digital printing facility, we fulfill Kashmiri shawl orders from 100 pieces for a boutique buyer to 100,000 pieces per month for a major importer. Quality does not slip when the order gets bigger.
06
Export Documentation, Handled
IEC-licensed with four decades of international shipping experience. We prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and all customs paperwork your destination market requires. Your Kashmiri shawls shipment arrives at the port cleared, not held up waiting for missing documents.

Kashmiri Shawls B2B FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions — Kashmiri Shawls Wholesale

Direct answers to what wholesale buyers, importers, and private label brands ask most often before placing their first Kashmiri shawls order with Savita Shawls.

Q01What is the MOQ for Kashmiri shawls?+
Minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per style for standard Kashmiri shawl catalog items. For OEM or private label with custom embroidery or exclusive weave patterns, MOQ is 150 to 200 pieces per design. We are flexible for first-time B2B buyers who want to test the quality before scaling. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
Q02What types of Kashmiri shawls do you manufacture?+
Nine categories in total. Our Kashmiri shawls range covers pure pashmina handwoven, Kani tapestry, sozni needle-embroidered, aari hook-embroidered, Jamawar loom-woven, pashmina-silk blend, wool-blend, digitally printed, and full OEM custom styles. Each category uses genuine Kashmiri craftsmanship techniques with verified fiber sourcing.
Q03What is the difference between Kashmiri shawls and regular pashmina?+
Kashmiri shawls are defined by place of craft and artisan technique. Pashmina refers to the fiber grade (Changthangi goat, 12 to 16 microns). A genuine Kashmiri shawl is woven or embroidered in Kashmir using traditional techniques like Kani weaving, sozni embroidery, or aari work. The fiber can be pashmina, but the identity of a Kashmiri shawl comes from where and how it is made, not just what it is made from.
Q04Can I order Kashmiri shawls under my own private label?+
Yes, private label is one of our core services. Submit your design artwork, color specifications, and branding requirements. We produce Kashmiri shawls with your woven label, hang tag, care label in your language, and packaging. Completely retail-ready under your brand. No reference to Savita Shawls on any label or packaging unless you specifically request it.
Q05What is the lead time for a Kashmiri shawl bulk order?+
4 to 6 weeks for standard Kashmiri shawl orders in stock colors and plain or lightly embellished styles. 6 to 10 weeks for Kani tapestry or sozni hand-embroidered Kashmiri shawls because of the artisan time required. We recommend planning 8 to 10 weeks ahead for seasonal collections. Every lead time is confirmed in writing before production begins so there are no surprises.
Q06Do you send samples of Kashmiri shawls before bulk orders?+
Always recommended and always available. Catalog Kashmiri shawl samples are dispatched within 5 to 7 business days. Custom design samples take 2 to 3 weeks. Sample cost is nominally charged and fully adjusted against your confirmed bulk order. We would rather you evaluate the actual product before committing. That is how lasting supply relationships begin.
Q07What quality checks happen before Kashmiri shawls are exported?+
Six-stage QC process on every shipment. Step one is fiber fineness verification by micron testing. Step two is weave density inspection. Step three is colorfastness testing under wash and light conditions. Step four is dimensional accuracy checking. Step five is embroidery quality verification covering stitch density and pattern alignment. Step six is final finishing and presentation inspection. Third-party certification reports are available on request.
Q08Which countries do you export Kashmiri shawls to?+
40 plus countries across six continents. Regular Kashmiri shawl export destinations include the USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and across Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia. IEC-licensed with full experience managing international freight, customs documentation, and import compliance in each market.
Q09How are Kashmiri shawl wholesale prices structured?+
Four variables determine the price. These are fiber composition (pure pashmina versus blend), embellishment type (plain weave, Kani tapestry, or hand-embroidered), order quantity, and customization requirements. As a direct Kashmiri shawls manufacturer, our pricing is significantly lower than trading companies. Detailed FOB and CIF quotations are provided after we understand your exact order requirements.
Q10What are your payment terms for Kashmiri shawl wholesale?+
New B2B clients: 50% advance on order confirmation, 50% before shipment. Established wholesale buyers can access Letter of Credit or extended credit arrangements. Payment accepted via international wire transfer (SWIFT/TT), PayPal for smaller orders, or bank LC. All payment terms are confirmed in writing before production begins on your Kashmiri shawl order.
Q11What is Kani weaving in Kashmiri shawls?+
Kani is the most prestigious Kashmiri shawl weaving technique. Instead of a shuttle, the weaver uses hundreds of small wooden bobbins called kanis, each carrying a different color of thread. This produces extraordinarily intricate tapestry patterns. A single Kani Kashmiri shawl takes 3 to 18 months to weave depending on pattern complexity. We source authentic Kani pieces directly from master weavers in Kanihama, Kashmir.
Q12What is sozni embroidery on Kashmiri shawls?+
Sozni is the finest form of Kashmiri hand embroidery. It is worked from the reverse side of the fabric using a very fine hooked needle, producing a delicate shadow-like pattern on the front face of the shawl. The skill takes years to master. Sozni is used on pure pashmina Kashmiri shawls for the highest luxury segment. It is time-intensive and genuinely irreplaceable by machine work.
Q13Can I order Kashmiri shawls in Pantone-matched colors?+
Yes, Pantone-matched dyeing is standard for bulk orders. Share your Pantone references and we produce a dyed lab dip for your approval before any bulk dyeing runs. We also match colors from physical fabric swatches you send us. Custom colorways for Kashmiri shawls add approximately 1 to 2 weeks to the standard lead time.
Q14Do you supply Kashmiri shawls for corporate gifting?+
Yes, corporate gifting is a major segment for our Kashmiri shawls business. We supply logo-embroidered pieces in your brand colors with branded gift boxes and personalized cards. MOQ from 100 pieces for corporate gifting orders. Supplied to Fortune 500 companies, luxury hotel groups, and premium event organizers. Every Kashmiri shawl is gift-ready straight from the carton.
Q15What packaging options are available for Kashmiri shawls wholesale?+
Seven packaging configurations are available. These include individual poly bags, branded tissue wrap with your logo, luxury rigid gift boxes, retail display packaging with hanger, bulk flat-pack shipping cartons, and custom-designed gift sets. All Kashmiri shawl packaging carries your brand label, care instructions in the destination language, fiber content details, and country of origin mark.
Q16How do you ensure quality is consistent across repeat orders?+
Detailed production specs are maintained for every B2B client. These include approved fiber lot references, dye recipes, loom settings, and finishing parameters for your Kashmiri shawl line. Our QC team cross-checks every new production batch against your original approved sample before packing or dispatch. This is why repeat order quality matches the sample you approved initially.
Q17Can you supply hand-embroidered Kashmiri shawls at volume?+
Yes, through a verified network of Kashmiri artisans. We work with sozni and aari embroidery craftspeople whose families have practiced these techniques for generations. Lead times for hand-embroidered Kashmiri shawls are 6 to 10 weeks and MOQs may be higher per design because of the skilled artisan hours involved. We provide detailed embroidery catalogs and close-up photos for selection before production.
Q18Do you attend international trade fairs?+
Yes, Premiere Vision Paris, Texworld, and regional sourcing exhibitions. B2B buyers can also schedule private showroom appointments at our Gurgaon facility to view the full Kashmiri shawls collection and place sample orders in person. Contact us to arrange a factory visit or a meeting at an upcoming trade fair in your region.
Q19What sustainability options are available for Kashmiri shawl orders?+
Ethical sourcing documentation is available on request. We provide Changthangi fiber supply chain records and responsible dyeing documentation for wholesale buyers who need it. For Kashmiri shawls orders requiring GOTS, GRS, or OEKO-TEX certification pathways, discuss your requirements with our B2B team and we will advise on the available certification options for your program.
Q20How does a first-time Kashmiri shawls importer get started?+
Contact us via the Get Quote form or email sales@savitashawls.com. Include your business details, the Kashmiri shawl types you are interested in, your target quantity, and any design references. Our B2B team responds within 24 hours, schedules a consultation call, sends a curated catalog with wholesale pricing, and dispatches samples. Most new importers complete their first Kashmiri shawl order within 6 to 8 weeks of first contact.

Kashmiri Shawls Buying Guide

Key Terms Explained — For Kashmiri Shawl Buyers

Plain-English definitions of the terms you will encounter when sourcing Kashmiri shawls from India. No jargon, no assumptions — just what you need to buy with confidence and explain authenticity to your customers.

Kashmiri Shawls
Shawls made and crafted in the Kashmir Valley using traditional Kashmiri weaving and embroidery techniques. Defined by provenance and craft, not just fiber. The term covers everything from pure pashmina Kani tapestry to sozni embroidered wool-blend pieces.
Kani Weaving
A Kashmiri tapestry technique using hundreds of small wooden bobbins (kanis) instead of a shuttle. Creates intricate multi-color patterns that are identical on both sides of the fabric. A single Kani Kashmiri shawl takes 3 to 18 months to complete depending on pattern complexity.
Sozni Embroidery
The finest Kashmiri needle embroidery technique. Worked from the reverse side of the shawl with a fine hooked needle, producing delicate shadow-like floral patterns on the face. Used on pure pashmina Kashmiri shawls for the luxury market. Cannot be replicated by machine.
Aari Embroidery
A Kashmiri chain-stitch embroidery technique worked with a hooked needle (the aari) from the right side of the fabric. Produces bold, densely filled floral and geometric patterns with high visual impact. Used on both pashmina and wool-blend Kashmiri shawls.
Jamawar
A richly patterned loom-woven Kashmiri shawl style with intricate multi-color motifs woven directly into the fabric structure. Named after the Jama (robe) for which the technique was historically developed. A strong visual piece for premium retail and bridal collections.
Pure Pashmina
100% Changthangi goat fiber from the Ladakh region, 12 to 16 microns. Hand-spun and handwoven. The finest luxury fiber used in Kashmiri shawls. Verified by micron testing. Commands the highest retail price and the most dedicated buyer segment.
MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)
The smallest quantity produced per Kashmiri shawl style. Our MOQ is 100 pieces for standard catalog items. OEM and private label Kashmiri shawls with custom embroidery or exclusive patterns require 150 to 200 pieces per design.
FOB Pricing
Free On Board. Kashmiri shawl price includes production and loading at the Indian export port. You arrange and pay international freight from that point. Lower per-unit cost than CIF, better for buyers who have preferred freight partners.
CIF Pricing
Cost, Insurance, Freight. We arrange and pay for shipping your Kashmiri shawl order to your destination port. Simpler for first-time importers. Total landed cost is higher than FOB but logistics management on your end is minimal.
IEC (Import Export Code)
A 10-digit code from India's DGFT authorising international export. Savita Fashions LLP IEC: AFPFS3876N. Your assurance that you are working with a legitimate, registered Kashmiri shawls exporter with full international trade authorization.
